In dialogue with your subconscious
Why muscle test?
Your body can tell you a lot about what really is important to you by using muscle testing. To understand your deeper truth and knowing. Muscle testing means clear and honest communication with yourself.
The muscle test shows what really is important and good for you. This makes it possible to come up with surprisingly new insights from your Self. Together we look for what lives (sometimes deep) inside you and what is currently to be recognized.
In a respectful way: the muscle test shows you your limits. Muscle testing even shows what method is the most appropriate for you and the one that best matches to your progress in growth and awareness.
Together we can make the unconscious conscious, appeal to your own inner strength and clea the way. [www.centrumcelestien.nl]
There is muscle testing and muscle testing. Is there a difference? You bet, you can muscle test to determine the functionality of the muscle or the muscle group. What is the strength or range of the muscle or muscle group enough? And you can also muscle test to identify the quality of muscle testing. You then test the muscle on its “ideomotor response”, on quality of impulse conduction.
The ideo-motor response (or “ideo-motor reflex) [abbreviated: IMR] is a concept in hypnosis and psychological research. It is derived from the term “ideology” (idea or mental representation) and “motor” (muscular action). It refers to the process by which a thought or a mental picture produces a seemingly “reflexive” or automatic muscular response, often tiny change out of awareness of the subject. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ideo_motor_response]
Here is how to muscle test. The muscle test is relatively easy to perform.
- Bring up the muscle in shortened position by moving the limb in the correct position.
- Move the limb as to move the muscle from shortened state to its lengthened position.
- Do you feel resistance or not! (“Strong” is resistance, “weak” is no resistance).
Do not mistake the simplicity, as there are more variations.
The muscle test indicates your limits
When the muscle test is performed on you, you notice you do not have to do anything to feel the muscle test “weak”, or “strong”. First you start experimenting with thinking of an emotion, or a memory good or bad. Often times the association is: “weak” is a charged emotion; “strong” is an emotion without unpleasant meaning. Again: in principle.
Do you see how the muscle test can be used as “ideomotor response”?! Do you see the possibilities to research what makes you “weak”, what brings you out of “balance”.
The power of Applied / Specialized Kinesiology is: using the muscle test and offering that correction that will make the muscle test indicate “strong” where it first was “weak”. This means that the body (subconscious) indicates a shift in energy pattern by means of change in muscle test indication. This may indicate that a body “balance” is established (homeostasis) and the charge of the emotion is removed.
Your body does not lie
What you feel, you feel! – The muscle test is the mechanism to make contact with your subconscious. But there is more, muscle testing also gives an indication of nerve conduction in the form of flow in acupuncture meridians. In Touch for Health we recognize the Muscle – Meridian combination as a fact. Thus, the latissimus dorsi muscle (latissimus dorsi) is associated with the Spleen-Pancreas meridian and the subscapularis (under shoulder blade muscle ) with the Heart meridian.
Does it mean you have problems with your spleen or pancreas when latissimus dorsi tests weak? Not a first, but when the problem stays too long then it can be the case at the end. Usually the energy in the meridian is not flowing properly or an emotion associated with that meridian shows a the problem. All in all, it means you must learn to interpret the information – given by the body through means of the muscle test – in combination with the excellent questions. Because your body does not lie!
Het begon met Touch for Health
Touch for Health was – the first offspring of Applied Kinesiology – developed as a first aid method for the non-professional. My first muscle test experience was with a Touch for Health -workshop in “De Hof van Axen, Drenthe”, The Netherlands. In general it still is the best approach to get a good feel for Specialized Kinesiology’s muscle testing approach.
Are you thrilled as I am? Do you also want to start exploring the muscle test experience, my advice is: Start with Touch for Health I and see if the fire for muscle testing also ignites within you . (Just like it was the case for me years ago!)
Living in Apeldoorn, I work from home.
